'Supernatural' Stars to Attend Convention Saluting Various Genre Series

Creation Entertainment, a company that produces conventions for fans of genre film and television, is holding a tribute convention in November. Among the shows that the company is saluting is the CW's Supernatural, and according to their website, series stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles will be attending the event.
On the paranormal drama, Padalecki and Ackles portray brothers Sam and Dean Winchester, respectively. Sam is known to be rational and sensitive, qualities that distinguish him from Dean. Sam and Dean are demon hunters, a profession they inherited from their father. Towards the end of the previous season, Dean makes a deal with a demon in order to bring back Sam from the dead.
Also attending the convention as special guests are Fredric Lehne and Samantha Ferris.Both actors also appear in Supernatural, with Lehne playing the Yellow-Eyed Demon and Ferris playing Ellen Harvelle.
Joining Padalecki, Ackles, Lehne and Ferris at the convention are Nicholas Brendon and Steve Carlson. Brendon is most known for his portrayal of Xander Harris in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, while Carlson has been heard in soundtracks of various films and television series, including Supernatural.
Many of the guest celebrities are expected to entertain questions from the audience while they are on stage.
Additionally, the company is also hosting a video contest that will have fans submitting their own music videos of the featured shows. Entries will be judged according to the quality of the video, audio and editing, inventiveness, song selection and originality. Winners will be announced during the convention and will be given $100 gift checks courtesy of Creation Entertainment.
The convention will be held at the Hyatt Regency Woodfield in Chicago , from November 10-11. The company has reserved a block of rooms at the hotel for attendees.

Steve has had several original songs placed in film and television projects including "Night Time" placed in the WB's "Supernatural" last year. One track from the album, "Now That My Love Is Gone" has been placed in the upcoming film "Be My Baby". Other films in which Steve's had song placement include "Just Married", "Life Or Something Like It", and “Memore” Steve will be performing a concert at the convention... something to look forward to!

Therefore it is incumbent upon those that ask questions to make them ones that allow our mutual shared time with the celebrities to be enjoyable, interesting and entertaining for all (including the guest). Asking for hugs, telling stars we love them (we all do, that's why we're here), giving gifts (you can do this at photo ops), getting into long personal stories, or worse, is not acceptable for this format and, in fact, is quite self-centered when you are in essence "representing" all of fandom to a celebrity. Join us in trying to make this convention the best entertainment for everyone!

SUPERNATURAL, SMALLVILLE, BUFFY MUSIC VIDEO CONTEST 2007
Rules: one music video about SUPERNATURAL, SMALLVILLE, or BUFFY (or all!) may be submitted on DVD only (please no computer- based media like CD accepted). PLEASE SUBMIT IN NTSC FORMAT ONLY, NOT PAL. Entries are judged on the following criteria: video quality, audio quality, editing quality, inventiveness, song selection, and originality. Humorous submissions are encouraged. Entries can not be returned, and person submitting entry is granting Creation the right to play this entry in perpetuity at Creation events worldwide and/or on line at the Creation website(s). Creation does not sell music videos so your entry will never be sold as a commercial product, just presented at our events/on line. Winners will receive a $100 gift certificate good for Creation products. Winners will be announced and certificates awarded on site at our Chicago event; if you are not present we will mail the certificate to you so be sure to include your return address, phone number and e mail. You may call our offices to confirm receipt of your entry but we do not announce winners until the event. All entries are due at Creation offices October 25th with no exceptions.
